Lousada is a Portuguese village from Porto district, Portugal. Since XIX century, after the construction of the Senhor dos Aflitos church in 1888, Lousada celebrates this catholic saint during the month of July and some days of August.
Similar to almost every Portuguese catholic feast, one of the most important attractions are the fireworks shows.
One important fireworks tradition is the "Fire Cow" (in Portuguese: "Vaca de Fogo") - basically, this is a box with the format of a cow with pyrotechnic artifacts like gerbs / fountains attached to it. A man holds the "cow" over his head and runs near the people.

In addiction to the "Fire Cows", as any other Portuguese Catholic feast, there is a big fireworks show that I want to show you. It was filmed by the members of a Youtube Channel / Facebook Page named "Festas e Romarias de Portugal" that I really like because they show very well the Portuguese Traditions related to Catholic feasts.
If you want to visit their Youtube channel click here and for the Facebook page, here.
You can see the full Senhor dos Aflitos fireworks show of this year (2022) below:
Portuguese fireworks shows, mainly in the north of the country, are full of salutes, mainly at the end, as you can see in the video!
